Here is one... Recipe that is. I make this about once a week for work.
Queso Dip:
1 LB Velveeta Cheese
1 LB Hot Pork Sausage (The Jimmy Dean Type)
1 16 oz Jar Mild Salsa or Picante Sauce
1 16 oc can of Refried Beans
1 Large Sweet Onion
1 Large Jalapeno Peppers (Fresh)
2 TBL Spoons Butter
Garlic Powder to taste
Onion Powder to taste
Worstershire sauce to taste
Finely dice the Jalapenos and Onions
In a large Skillet melt the 2 TBL Spoons of Butter
Sauté the Onions and Jalapenos
When the Onions and Jalapenos are browning add the sausage in small crumbled bits
Cook until sausage is brown.
Add Garlic Powder, Onion Powder and Worstershire to taste
In a Large Bowl (Microwaveable bowl, Oven ready bowl, or Crock pot)…
Add a layer of:
Diced Velveeta cheese
Salsa
Refried Beans
Sautéed Sausage, Onion and Jalapeno mix.
Create second layer and top off with remaining Diced Velveeta Cheese.
Heat and mix bowl of dip and enjoy with Tortilla chips or corn chips.
As you can see this make a large amoung of dip. It can be divided for freezing. It does freeze well.
One of these days I'll explaine the food phenomena at work that is our cubicle! Sometimes I think we are running a little cafe!!!!!
