Larger Than Life

Amongst many other things, the "Carry On" movies, with Sid James, Hattie Jacques and the rest of the gang (including Phil Silvers in at least one movie.) I remember seeing Eric on tv from when I was a small child - a very funny man who will be sadly missed.

Here he is in a few outtakes with some other famous (well, over here anyway) faces ...

(EDIT) I seem to have got that one wrong - according to Wikipedia he never appeared in any Carry On movies - but should have done imo! However, at least two of those people in that outtakes clip did appear in them, including Hattie Jacques.

Save for those 'crossovers' - (from your side of the pond to ours or visa-versa), I'm
sure its' quite understandable there are many fabulous talents that pass - A thing that
works both ways as with Andy Griffith. In this instance, our never having known of
them doesn't take away from the fact that these were - stellar actors delivering
performances that warm the heart in the retelling as well, the memories of them
we will forever cherish - -

For that, they will all be sorely missed.
