I came across this by accident, when Mee_n_Mac posted about it over at Space.com in relation to something else. Looks like it might be pretty good because it's not "in your face" in ads on every other site you visit (like Spyware Doctor for example) but sounds like it's something that some people just know about, like Spybot Search & Destroy.

It's also free apparently, (although there is a paid version as well.)

I've downloaded it but haven't installed it yet. Does anyone else here use it?

Will do Joe. I'll install it on my laptop and maybe our new desktop 'puter as well. I found some reviews by users on Cnet and they all seem to think the free version is great (although it doesn't give real-time protection - you need the paid version for that.)

I'll make another post once I've tried it out.

It gets a generally favorable review here although it mentions some initial issues following installation.

I used to use both Sybot/Ad-Aware but settled on SuperAntiSpyware (along with the basic malware detection that comes with my McAfee AV) which is the top recommended freeware program at the site I linked to. I can't say I've deliberately tested it, but I haven't had any spyware problems since I started using it.

Can the subscription version be used as a substitute for say, 'Norton?'

If so, it might be better if it were cheaper (and)

could be used on multiple comps. :?:

You'd still need some kind of anti-virus program Joe although you probably could toss Norton and go with a decent freeware AV program to augment the Malwarebytes Anti-Malware program. There's a couple of anti-virus freebies - Avira and Microsoft Security Essentials come to mind - that can hold their own with the big name pay-for programs. Microsoft Security Essentials in particular surprised me because it's from Microsoft and - believe it or not - isn't a piece of crap! 8O
